Hello fellow adventurers! My name is Sarah, and I’m so grateful you are reading my page. I’m wife to Ben, and Mom to my 3Js – James, Jed, and Jules. I believe that wellness is an adventure – a FUN adventure – and it doesn’t just apply to eating well!It is fully encompassing to the mind, body, and soul. It includes getting out into the fresh air, exercising, being in the right frame of mind, eating healthy, being in a positive community, and supplementing your bodies appropriately. And that is what this blog, Wellness Adventuring, is all about.
So this is my story. I am a young(ish) entrepreneur mom to three children all ages 6 and under. I’m married to the best man in the world. I’m a daughter to the King – I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and without Him, I’d be nothing. Our family lives in Alaska, and we love to adventure in this Last Frontier. I homeschool my children, work from home as a blogger and Young Living Independent Distributor, and run my home. We do real. We do loud. And we do messy.
I’ve journeyed through the path of anxiety and I know how much of a struggle it can be. Through the course of me battling anxiety and watching family members struggle with very critical health issues, I have become passionate about wellness. A whole, encompassing, fun version of wellness. I’m passionate about teaching my kids how to live healthy, and want to share it with you all too. And wellness truly touches everything. It touches our activities, our day-to-day living, our eating, our fitness, and our minds.
So What Does Wellness Adventuring Look Like?
I’m so glad you asked! For more information you really just might have to read the blog. 😉 But…I will answer the question briefly. We hike and get fresh air as much as we possibly can. Living in Alaska, we have ample opportunity to get out, explore, and wander in the wilderness. We do our best to eat a balanced diet. That said, I will admit that for some people we would be considered unhealthy eaters, while others would see us as being very strict eaters. It all depends on your viewpoint. We use high quality supplements and essential oils to bolster our health. We read and laugh and pray and talk and try to address emotions and issues as often as we can in an effort to keep our minds healthy.
In a nutshell, that is how we are adventuring with wellness on a day-to-day basis. It’s daily living with an effort to approach wellness from an all-encompassing standpoint. We have fun, and it is not perfect. But it is an adventure. So join my family as we continue Wellness Adventuring! We are so happy to have you!
