Tea Tree Essential Oil is a widely used and researched essential oil. It’s another great oil to purchase if you are just starting your journey with oils, and it’s a must have if you are more of an essential oil guru. It’s wide range of uses included many practical applications, so it is easy to incorporate into your day-to-day living.
Making Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea Tree Essential Oil comes from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree. The oil may sometimes be referred to as Melaleuca Oil by some people. Tea tree oil is created by steam distilling the leaves of the tree. The trees are native to Australia, but can also be cultivated in some areas of South Africa.
Using Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea Tree can be used in many practical applications. It is an ideal oil to combat odors. Be it by diffusing the oils in your house, or by combining it with water and other oils in a water bottle, it is easy to gain its odor combating benefits. It’s a refreshing scent when combined with Lavender or Citrus Fresh and spritzed on laundry, furniture, or simply diffused into the air.
Tea Tree is also very good to support healthy skin. Roll it on the skin with Copaiba and Frankincense to improve skin blemishes and improve moisturization or add shine to the hair. You can also add it to soaps and shampoos to gain its health benefits without the extra step of applying it individually.
It is easy to diffuse tea tree oil to support mental clarity, and it is also a critical component of the DIY immune support roller.
Products Containing Tea Tree Essential Oil
As always, Tea Tree Essential Oil can be purchased individually through your Young Living membership or retail account. But it is also a component in several different Young Living blends. You can find it in Purification, Melrose, and Claraderm.
