Peppermint is another very common oil for many people to begin their oily journey. When I diffuse this in our diffuser, my kids often tell me that it smells like candy canes and is delicious. And you know what? I completely agree. Peppermint is one of the most refreshing aromas out there, in my opinion. So let’s learn a little bit more about this affordable essential oil.
If you are a parent, you most likely know the benefits of a bedtime routine to help your children go to bed easily. Or perhaps you are here looking for ideas to make a bedtime routine an easier process! At the time of writing this, we have a 6-year-old, 4-year-old, and 2-year old sharing a bedroom. A bedtime routine allows them to get more sleep and supports physical wellness. But it also allows them to establish schedules and expectations which plays a role in emotional wellness. It is a simple step to obtain the overall goal of healthy kids!
Stress Away Essential Oil has long been one of my most used blends. A blend unique to Young Living, it is one of those oils I simply don’t run out of. I’m a homeschool, work at home Mom and we are often running to therapy appointments or skating lessons. While we do our best to make our life enjoyable and more or less “slow living” so that we can truly enjoy time together as a family, there is still a good deal of busyness going on that can often translate into stress. This miracle blend of oils is the perfect thing to have on hand (or hidden in your purse!) for those busy or stressful moments.
It hit me like a lightning bolt. A gripping fear that something bad was about to happen. It feels so real in the moment. It’s terrifying. When anxious thoughts strike sometimes I have a trigger, and other times I don’t. This time I did, and I knew it. I had read a Facebook post from a friend about keeping her kids home from school because there had been another threat against the school. And it gripped me. Even though we homeschool, our oldest goes to school once a week. And immediately, I felt like that post was a warning to our family. “What if this is a warning that I should keep my child home from school this week?” “What if this is a foreshadowing of what’s to come for our family?” Wave after wave of anxious thoughts. Anxious thoughts that I knew had no foundation in truth, yet were real all the same.
My kids love oatmeal. Especially with the brown sugar on top. There is always a way to take a healthy meal and make it unhealthy, right? But finding a meal that actually is healthy and loved by the family? Now that is worth celebrating. This baked oatmeal recipe is delicious, easy, healthy, and the whole family loves it! (Including a few children of mine who are fairly picky. And that’s saying something.)
