I’ve always known allergies and diets were a big deal. If people say they can’t have something, just go with it. But to an extent, I was also sheltered from much of that world. While I have some sensitivities for things my body really doesn’t like, it’s never more than a day or two of general discomfort that effects me. When I was growing up, my whole family did not have food allergies so it was barely a blip on the radar.
Today, I’m once again blessed to not have to worry too much about food allergies. While my little family does have a couple of allergies, they’re all foods very easy to avoid. And then I met a family very dear to my heart. Their family is pretty much exact opposite of mine. They have severe food allergies in several extremely popular categories of food that are horribly difficult to avoid. Like dairy. So I wanted to share a few thoughts on allergies and diets from an outside perspective.
